About the Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce
 
 The Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary association of business persons and merchants for the promotion of commerercial interests within the community.
The GHCC unites area businesses, working as the central agency to promote prosperity and build a better community. The GHCC’s main ingredient for success is people. People who are willing to join together as members of the Chamber and work collectively to do what no one individual can do alone.
The GHCC acts as a central resource providing members with public relations advice, legislative representation at the local and national levels of government and serves as an information bureau by providing members with research and promotional tools.

History of the GHCC
1960’s Garfield Heights Chamber of Commerce is established.
1994 City Officials and local business professionals form a Committee to ascertain whether there is sufficient interest in reviving the GHCC. Response is overwhelmingly positive.
1995 Rejuvenated, the GHCC hosts its first official meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall and boasts 30 members.
2006 Due to steady growth and overwhelming interest from the business community, the Board of Directors participates in strategic planning session to ensure future success of the organization and it’s ability to meet the needs of a growing community.
2007 The result of strategic planning initiatives, the GHCC rolls out a new mission statement and logo that more accurately reflects the organizations current core values. The GHCC publishes a new website, begins sending weekly membership emails and partners with the GHCC Foundation to host it’s first half-day educational workshop. The program is revered by all who attend.
2008 The GHCC is home to over 211 members (1 700% increase in membership over 13 years), staffs a calendar full of events including the Annual Awards Dinner, Golf Outing, Business & Community Expo, Monthly Membership Luncheons and Business After Hours events.
Future With your continued support the GHCC will continue to thrive and expand its services to meet the needs of its members for decades to come.
